Hey there, how’s it going? It’s been a minute.
I haven’t posted over the last couple of months, not because nothing has been going on, but rather my focus blurred and drifted away!
What an odd feeling. For no apparent reason, I lost all motivation to post, video or share anything.
Have you ever had a “Zoned Out” period?
What makes it even more odd is that I was still motivated and sharply focused on some projects like installing a crane to launch our dingy at our cabin, and pacing my friend Jan for his successful Western States 100 finish.
So it appears to me there are layers to motivation, layers that can move up or go down in our overall hierarchy.
We all have multiple goals for various aspect of our lives: Work, Health, Family, Sports…
The trick is to be able to focus on one without totally losing the other.
I wouldn’t call it multitasking, but rather micro shifts. Where you complete a daily task then quickly move on to the next one.
Sounds like I have a new “me” project to work on.
Well, I’m over my slump so expect me to posting weekly at least for the next few months!
