'Use your Garmin to hold that ceiling honestly, because your legs will lie to you and the watch won’t'.

I do - but every time the Garmin screen dials into the red, and tells me I'm pushing too hard, I feel like I'm back at school being scolded by the headmaster.

The difference is this is a kind of discipline I can live with. A self-imposed discipline that I know is in my best interest.

At 60 I ran Chicago, BQd by 38 minutes, hopped on a bike the next day, rode 1200 miles to New York, ran New York and BQd by 10 min. At 62 I got injured and have been injured 3 more times. I’m 63 and 1/2. It’s not working for me any more.
